Daytime Buffalo Segments: Dry Jan, V-Day, Queer Speed Dating
No really, I’m like on TV now! Being presented with the opportunity to go on Daytime Buffalo twice so far has been an honor. The host, Chelsea Lovell, was nothing short of amazing! Being on the segment with Willa DeWhisp who was in full drag was spectacular! We promoted our first-ever Dry January Drag Show being held at Mister Goodbar on Elmwood which happened on January 9, 2024. It was super cool to bring queerness to daytime local television in the form of drag. You do not see much of that in local news, if at all! As Mister Mocktail and the owner of Sober One Six, it was also crucial for me to go on to showcase Sober One Six events and explain how we are building a community of people who share very similar values of being sober or sober-curious and that you don’t have to drink alcohol to have fun! In the next Daytime Buffalo segment, I promoted our Valentine's Day-themed events we had coming up which were all about self-love! Our Buffalo’s Sexiest V-Day Party at Rec Room was an absolute success. The dancers, queens, vendors, and the audience had a blast! On the topic of love, we recently held the first ever Queer Speed Dating event of a three-part series! Twerkout Class
Speaking of self-love is our Twerkout Class at Spark Fitness with Kayla Von and Jojo Zahoe! Giving back to yourself and dancing around with us while learning how to actually twerk was so fun! February Sober Social
We ended our love celebrations at the cutest new cocktail & MOCKtail bar in North Buffalo, Ciao Ciao! We hosted our second sober social there on February 21st. It was a casual hangout for those who enjoy being able to go to a cute bar without any pressure to drink alcohol and provided the opportunity to meet new people!
